I’m Cassandra “cat” Naomi, a Atlanta-native artist, creator, designer, and developer. A recent graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Computational Media, I’ve dedicated to myself to the pillars of creativity, African traditions of storytelling, and “making computers make pretty pictures”. Currently, I work at the Expressive Machinery Lab at Georgia Tech under Dr. Brian Magerko and Dr. Duri Long, developing the interactive installations LuminAI and Xylocode. I believe that humanity’s essence is told through stories, and that modern interactive mediums like games and installations allow stories to be told in ways far greater than we’ve been capable before.
As of now I’m looking for a full-time position in a creative studio or museum space, making games, installations, software applications, and websites.
Currently I’m working with my beloved partner, Jack Becker, on developing a Zelda-like swordfighting video game in Unity: The Blademistress Trials. Outside of that, I spend my time working on various projects, and practicing storytelling through writing and tabletop rpgs.
